Epitome Kennels was established in 1998, with the death of my first APBT dog Moose.  I embarked on a quest to replace him.  As we all find out nothing like Moose is replaceable.   But what his death did do is bring new life into my home.  Moose brought this breed to me.  I got Moose from some backwoods in Washington state.  I had no idea what I had just got myself into.  After many years of being my road dog, and going everywhere with me, moose succumbed to cancer.  After Moose there was never any doubt that I would get another APBT.  This the best breed the world has to offer today.  I know the breed will be in my life tell the day I die.  I truly believe anybody can enjoy this breed, kids, baby's, families, grandparents, single females, and yes even single men, they double as chick magnets.

 Epitome stands behind there dogs 100%.  We guarantee health and temperament.  No dogs are intended for fighting or any illegal purposes.  These Dogs are Family, and should be thought of as a family member.  We here at Epitome Kennels reserves the right to refuse anyone who we do not feel capable of owning one of our fine animals.  We follow a strict Code of Honor so please do so too!!!

Our Program:

Our Program:  Every breeding in our program has and is planned out with Knowledge, Thought and Care!!  No short cuts are taken when striving for perfection.  Our Program is based off the Paddington x Knuckles litter.  Our Yard and or Program centers around this litter, DAZZ, V, SAGE, and JADA.  Thus everything in those litters will be color code Green.  We feel that this litter when mixed right throws the look and structure we are after here at Epitome Pits.  Some examples would be SAGE x Blue= Remy, Blaze and Bumpy, Cairo x V=lil RO, DAZZ x JADA=Bigg Foot, and also DAZZ x Jewels=Pac Man.  The next key for me was to seeing how well these dogs out of this blood produced.  Bigg Foot, Remy, RO, and Pac Man are all producing very nicely.  Take anything to them and you will get something nice.  If you take fire to them you get back red hot LAVA, simply the best! 

So if you are looking at my web site and I talk about outcross's, remember they may be an outcross to me and my program but not your yard or program.   I consider almost anything in my yard that does not have the Paddington x Knuckles blood(from the litter) an outcross.  Some of my blood has been outcrossed right within the line(MJ). Some of my blood has been outcrossed with such things as Butt Head(Duchess), Knowlwoods(Shy) and Monster G is in a lot of my stuff.  The reason I have gone through the steps at the beginning to outcross is so that my Program never get to tight but at the same time, I will never have to leave my own yard after this year.  I will have enough play in my genes to breed tight the way I like too, and at the same time enough breathing room to not run too many health problems hopefully.  The outcross's help freshen up the blood and let the genes breath some.  The In-crosses with in the line help preserve desired blood.  Breeding tightly you try to lock in desired traits of the dogs you are breeding or traits you are breeding for.  Looks, Structure & of course most importantly, the HEALTH of the dogs.

I know Razors Edge was made up of Great Lines combined to make the Greatness that Razors Edge Bloodline is today.  Dave Wilson and Jeannie Howe put in much hard work and planning to get a line so consistent of greatness, and quality.  Thanks RE for such a good foundation to work with.  I am not trying to start my own line or anything like that.  I just have a planning and a vision that I hope to stay to task and that everything falls into place.  After all this is breeding and anything can and will happen.  Good and Bad.  But "THAT'S BREEDING"!!
